Winter is almost here!

Do you have move coming up this season?

Winter can be a great season to move if you are prepared.  As a Boston moving company, we know what it is like to relocate in cold and snow.  Here are some tips to help you prepare:Moving Date Be ready for the unexpected– Winter weather is always changing.  Even if snow is not in the forecast, be prepared for it anyway.  It is better to be too prepared than to be caught in a cold, wet situation with no resources.  Be sure to salt if there is ice or if it is on the way to prevent slips and falls. Be careful when packing– Don’t pack up your winter gear.  It might sound obvious, but we all know how easy it is to get in a habit of packing and not think about it.  Also, using plastic containers and boxes instead of cardboard could prevent water damage to some of your precious belongings. Prepare your new home for winter– Make sure your utilities are hooked up and running so that you don’t end up walking into frozen home.  Keep drop cloths, rags, and tarps on hand to protect your floors.  You don’t want a slush mess on your brand new floors.
