I recently moved out of state using Allied Van Lines, and Wakefield Moving and Storage was Allied's local affiliate who worked with me to give me a quote, plan the move, and was my point of contact throughout. The movers arrived both to load and at the destination exactly on time, were professional, patient, treated my stuff as if it were their own, and not one item was damaged or lost. I have already recommended them to several people.

I recently moved with the help of Wakefield Moving and Storage. The entire experience was a positive one from beginning to end. They are competitive in their pricing and their staff is professional, friendly and accommodating. The movers were a good team and very careful with all the contents of the house. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

This is a letter of reference from a very satisfied customer of Wakefield Moving of Massachusetts. We used their services on August 31 and September 1 2011.
Our daughter, a recent graduate of one of Boston’s universities, needed to move out of one apartment in the Fenway area of Boston to another location near Copley Square. On paper, it seemed like an easy move, but dealing with the logistics, and our living over 600 miles away, it could easily become a challenging move.
First, she had to be out of her apartment by the evening of August 31, but could not move into her new apartment until after noon September 1. We initially contacted Wakefield several weeks prior to the move, and Rob Hodgson called our daughter to make an appointment to visit her to see the contents. He was able to provide everyone with a very good estimate, including a provision where Wakefield would arrange for overnight storage of her belongings in a safe location. Well prior to the move, Rachel Goulding of Wakefield assisted our daughter by advising her where she should obtain the required Boston parking signs and number of spaces required for the loading and the unloading locations.
On the day of the move, Wakefield sent a large truck with three able-bodied crew members who very efficiently moved all of our daughter’s contents from the fifth floor of one apartment building and into the moving truck. The next afternoon, they arrived with all her contents and within an hour and a half all of the furniture and boxes were in place and the move was complete.
The final price was exactly that of Rob’s estimate.
This is a very professional company, and I want to commend Rob, Rachel, and Carol Preston for their direction and assistance in the administration of the move and a special thank you to the moving crew themselves who were courteous, entertaining, and efficient during the two days of moving.

Wakefield Moving did a great job on my move from Massachusetts to Florida. The packers arrived on the date specified and did a fine job with several large pictures. The movers arrived on the scheduled date and they were very efficient and careful during the loading and unloading processes. Bob Nicholas and Rachel Goulding provided expert guidance and support throughout the process. The driver, Arlie Young, kept me updated on the delivery date while he was in transit. My furniture arrived in six days and there were no problems. I would certainly recommend Wakefield Moving & Storage.

I wanted to take a moment to say what a pleasure it was to work with (movers) David and Mark both yesterday and the day before. After nearly 20 years, I was finally able to move my grandmother's baby grand piano out of storage and into my home. Even though there was a glitch in the initial delivery, resulting in a 2nd trip, both David and Mark were fantastic. Their customer service skills were excellent: they were personable, knowledgable, and very enjoyable to have in my home to help with this move. You are fortunate to have these two men in your employment and they should be recognized for being such dedicated and exemplary workers.
